Catering Halls Use Room Divider Screens for a Cost Effective Solution to Divide Large Spaces

Large halls such as catering halls, banquet and receptions halls face the challenge of how to arrange the large space based on the event and amount of guests.  Many large reception halls use mobile folding partitions.  Some are custom made and others are commonly found in institutions or other commercial places.  These types of room dividers are very costly.  To efficiently divide a large hall measuring over 60ft wide, would cost over $5000.  Commercial room dividers are not also the most attractive.  If you are planning an event in a large social hall, yet there will only be handful of guests, the event would look empty if the space was left undivided.

This Italian catering and banquet hall in West Virginia, uses a cost effective way to create attractive, portable inexpensive partitions.  The owner of the venue purchased 5 art print room divider screens of red roses as well as eight shoji screens in 4 panels each.  The art printed screens of the roses are creatively used as a backdrop with accented lights around it.  This backdrop makes for a perfect visual center piece where the bride and groom can sit in front of.

The shoji screens are used to create an extra room for the ceremonial participants.  This partition creates almost like a back stage area for performers.   Since the screens are light weight for mobility, a creative way to add support to the screens is to place floor plants in front and in back as show in the images.
